Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
We are a high school environmental club located in Hsinchu, Taiwan with a focus on eco-bricking. Our club was founded in 2022 and we host weekly meetings where we make eco-bricks from the plastic from our school. We also host regular local beach cleanups which are open to everyone.
Our Story
The concept of the eco-brick club was created by our founder, Ling Xiong, from a TikTok video she accidentally stumbled upon. After watching this video, she was inspired to start her own eco-brick journey. After a few months she realized that she wanted to spread this activity to her friends and community and decided to start her own eco-brick club at her school. So, in the summer of 2022, she invited three of her friends to help figure out the logistics of the club. Therefore, the eco-brick club was formed during the start of the 2022-2023 school year. As of now, the club has a total of 46 members ranging from 11-18 years old. In our club we try to encourage anyone to participate in environmentalism, particularly younger people and we hope to spread this message through our events and social media.
